Rating by category:
Very clean, large room, good location, near to metro and walking distance of the centre, excellent breakfast.
Nice location, clean rooms, free internet access in the lobby.
Simply great hotel in a great place (in the tapas quarter 5 min walk to Sol) to discover Madrid. The room was clean and comfortable. Everybody is so furthersome in reception and speak English much more better than spanish people generally. I recommend it for everybody
The bed should be changed because the mattress was so used (it was like a bath-tub a bit. The variety of buffet breakfast was excellent on Friday but it was restricted to Monday (out of bread, warm food, water, cheese, etc.)
Cleanliness of my room and other facilities, buffet breakfast, location, free internet and hotel staff were very helpfull.
Location is outstanding. Staff very friendly and helpful, fluent in English.Very nice breakfast buffet with fruit, cheese ham, cereals, bakery items... Great value for money. We were travelling one couple plus one single, all 60+. The single person got an upgrade to a double room, without us having asked for it. Highly recommended.
Good location, Nice price for the room
Cheap breakfast(no hot dish), very expensive parking
The front desk staff was helpful. Good variety for breakfast. Internet was very fast and available inside our room.
The hotel is pretty and boasts of hardwood floors, however they are very noisy and not padded well. The hotel isn't very insulated well either. We heard every noise and conversations in the rooms around us as if they were inside our room. We were grateful that the room had an extra door but it didn't really block out much of the hallway noises. The room was also listed as a double, however it was two twin beds pushed together but made up as twin beds.
I liked the buffet breakfast and the location. It was good value for money.
We reserved a superior room with a double bed and found the bed to be quite small. Also there was no wi-fi access in our room which was on the top floor. We had to go on the ground floor to get access.
Excellent location near major tourist destinations; generously-proportioned rooms and super bathroom; breakfast huge by Spanish standards, and very good.
Location, hotel staff, free internet,
noisily, very bed acoustic isolation
Good location - walking distance from main railway station and well located regarding shops and restaurants but also in a quiet location for traffic noise.
Excellent location ideal for exploring the City during the day and close to many excellent restaurants in the evening. Staff were very helpful, the hotel comfortable, clean and quiet. The enjoyable breakfast was good value. Would certainly return.
excellent location, good value for the money, very helpful staff
Our main reasons for selecting the hotel were price & location. It didn't disappoint. Really easy to get to from the metro station (Anton Martin). Ideally located for Plaza de Santa Ana with plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants to choose from. Only a 10-12 minute walk to Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol or El Prado Museum. Rooms were clean and quite spacious. Bed really comfortable & a nice sized shower. There was a wide choice of cereals, fruit, pastries, hams, cheese, etc for breakfast & the staff kept everything replenished. Would definately choose this hotel again.
Breakfast room is a little on the small side so you could have a wait for a table if everyone arrives at the same time!
We arrived earlier than check in but it was not a problem they let us have the room as it was ready. We asked for a quiet room which we got. The Hotel was in a very central position, within walking distance of most of Madrids attractions. Breakfast was plentifull with better than average choice. In all we cannot find any faults for the price and would certainly use it again.
If you want to stay central to the city then you must expect a bit of outside noise, more so as the weekend gets closer
